A Thorough Illustration Of Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, And Their Corresponding Moons

There are nine main celestial objects in our Solar System – excluding the Sun – Mercury, Venus and Earth. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune also make up the Solar System. Each planet is unique and has its own set of satellites orbiting it. This report will concentrate on Uranus Neptune Pluto.

Uranus is located seven planets away from the Sun. It is third in diameter (Uranus). Uranus is named after the Greek God of the Heavens. William Hershel made the discovery of Uranus, the first modern planet, on March 13, 1781 (Uranus). It was seen by many people before, but dismissed as a star. Uranus has been seen since 1690 by John Flamsteed who identified it as the star 34 Tauri. Bode first named it Uranus before calling it the “Georgium Sidus”. Uranus’ axis is 98В° tilted in relation to its sun (Uranus fact). Uranus Facts says that it is “rolling” round the Sun. Its mass is 8.681x1025kg, which is 14.536% more massive than Earth. Uranus’s circumference, equatorial size, and polar dimensions are all 49,946km. The equatorial distance is 51,118km. Uranus, which is located at 19.22 AU (2.87x109km), has a much greater distance from the Sun than Earth. Its orbital period is 30,687.15 Earth-days or 84.02 Earth-years (Uranus facts).

Uranus, a gas-giant planet, is mainly composed of Hydrogen (Uranus Facts). Uranus’ surface temperature is an incredible -197OC. Its atmosphere can reach a minimum of only -242OC. The surface of Uranus has a Hydrogen/Helium mixture, and its mantle is made mainly of ice. This is all surrounded by a rock-and-ice core. Uranus has an atmosphere that is 83% Hydrogen and 15% Helium with 2% Methane. Uranus’ pale blue color is caused by the presence of water, methane, and ammonia in its atmosphere. (Uranus).

There are 13 rings on Uranus, discovered over 28 years. These rings consist of particles as small as dust to boulders. Edward W. Duncan (Rings of Uranus) and James L. Elliot (Rings of Uranus) discovered the first nine on March 10th, 1977. Voyager 2 found the first two rings in 1986. Hubble discovered the second two rings between 2003 and 2004 (Rings of Uranus). In order, they are 1986U2R/zeta, 6, 5, 4, alpha (a), beta (ss), eta ), 6, 5, 4, alpha (a), beta (ss), eta (? ), gamma (? ), delta (d), lamda (? ), epsilon (e), nu (? The radii of the rings range from 1986U2R/zeta’s 38,000 km to mu’s 98,000 km (Rings of Uranus). The rings’ radii range from 1986U2R/zeta 38,000 km up to mu 98,000 km. Rings of Uranus) suggest that the rings formed as a result of a collision between Uranus and one or more of its moons.

Voyager 2 made the closest approach to Uranus on January 24, 1985, and this gave us a lot of information about the planet. The proposed launch of a mission to Uranus between 2020-2023 is called the Uranus Orbiter & Probe. The spacecraft’s power source is solar-electric, which will make the journey last about 13 years.

Uranus is known to have 27 satellites. The names of all of Uranus’ moons come from characters in works by William Shakespeare and Alexander Pope. We’ll cover Puck, Miranda and Ariel. Also, we will touch on Titania.

Stephen Synnott found Puck from Voyager 2 data in 1986 (Uranus). The moon orbits Uranus at 86,006 kilometers. Puck, one of Uranus’s outermost moons, orbits the planet at 86,006 km. Its diameter (Uranus) is 154km or 90 miles. That’s about one hour and half of highway driving. Puck has an orbital average velocity of 540 353.94 km/h. Its volume, although relatively large for a celestial object, is 2,226,095km3. Puck has an incredible surface gravity of.029m/s2 with a 155mph escape velocity (Solar System Exploration). Puck, originally called S/1985 U1, was renamed after the theme of literary works written by Alexander Pope and William Shakespeare. Puck is a mischievous fair in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Gerard P. Kuiper has discovered Miranda, Shakespeare’s Prospero’s daughter from “The Tempest”.

Miranda has a diameter of 472 km and orbital radius 129,850km. Its average orbital speed is 24,067.7km/h. The mass is 6.6×1019 kg. Miranda has a diameter of 472 km and an orbital radius 129,850km, a velocity orbital average of 24,067.7km/hr, and 6.6x1019kg mass (Solar System Exploration). Miranda has a volume 54,918,670km3(Solar System Exploration). Its surface gravity and escape velocity are.079 m/s2 and 432 mph (Solar System Exploration).

Miranda is about half silicate rocks and half water-ice (Uranus). Miranda is unusually active in terms of tectonics for a small extraterrestrial (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration says that the moon has three large “coronae”, one of which is 12 times the depth of the Grand Canyon. Miranda’s surface can be explained two ways. One is that it was chaotically smashed into pieces and then reassembled (Uranus). The other explanation is that it was the result of the moon being repeatedly smashed. Another theory is that coronae are impact zones from metallic or rocky meteorite impacts, which caused ice beneath the surface to melt, resulting in slushy, watery surface on Miranda.

William Lassell found Ariel on October 24th, 1851. It was named by Sir John Hershel the son of Sir William Hershel. The moon’s mass is approximately 1.27 x 1021, and its diameter is 1,158 kilometers (Uranus). Ariel has an orbital radius of 190,930 kilometers and a velocity average orbital of 19,832.3 km/h. (Solar System Exploration). The lunar gravity at the surface is.258m/s2 with a escape velocity of 1.222mph.

Ariel’s surface is perceived to be the youngest among the largest Uranian moons (Solar System Exploration). It is the brightest moon, but it only reflects a third the light that strikes it. This suggests that the surface of Ariel has been darkened with carbon materials. It is covered with a variety of small craters (Uranus) and a network of valleys, some of which are hundreds of km in length. Ariel’s surface was thought to be very hot once, causing heavier elements (such as iron) to sink toward the core of the planet and lighter elements (such as oxygen) to float up to its surface. This would also explain blemishes, which are the result of the frozen moon (Uranus).

Umbriel’s darkest moon is Uranus (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration says that only 16% is reflected. The moon’s surface has a lot of craters, which could be contributing to its low brightness (Uranus). William Lassell first discovered the Moon on October 24th, 1851. The moon was named after the character in Alexander Pope’s novel “The Rape of the Lock”.

Umbriel has a diameter of approximately 1,170 km, orbits Uranus at a distance of 25,980 kilometers, and orbits with an average orbital speed 16,804.6 km/h. (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration says that the moon weighs approximately 1.2214x1021kg and has an 837313,109km3 volume. Umbriel is a moon with a surface gravity just under.238 m/s2, but an escape speed of 1,181 miles per hour (Solar System Exploration).

Titania’s nickname comes from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a play by William Shakespeare. Sir William Hershel found the moon in 1787 (Solar System Exploration). Titania, with a diameter of 1,578 km (Uranus), is the largest moon on Uranus. Its orbit radius measures 436.300 km. It maintains an orbital speed of 13.120 km/hr on average. Titania has a mass of approximately 3.49x1021kg (Uranus). Its escape speed is approximately 1,701 miles per hour (Solar System Exploration). Titania is 2,056,622,001km3 in size (Solar System Exploration). The moon has a surface that is very similar to Ariel. It also features a collection of large craters as well as valleys of impressive lengths. A couple of these valleys are more than 1,000 miles long. Titania is thought to have had a surface that was liquid when it was first formed. This surface then cracked and shattered as the core solidified.

Sir William Herschel discovered Oberon (the king of the fairies in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”). The discovery was made in January 1787. Oberon shares the same information as most other moons of Uranus. The majority of this knowledge comes from Voyager 2’s 1986 flyby.

Oberon is Uranus’ second-largest moon. It comes in just behind Titania. The moon’s composition is made up of 40-50% rock and the remainder is ice water (Uranus). Oberon’s craters are more prominent than those of other larger lunar bodies, like Ariel, Miranda, or Titania. It is possible that the geological activity of Oberon was evident in its early history. At least one of the large mountains on the moon is approximately 6 km in height (Solar System Exploration).

Oberon has a size that is just a bit smaller than Titania. With a radius of 1,523 km, and a weight of 3.03x1021kg (Uranus), Oberon comes in second place. The moon orbits Uranus at an average radius of 583.500 km. Its average orbital velocity (Solar System Exploration) is 11,349.2km/h. Oberon’s volume is 1,848,958,769 km3 (Solar System Exploration). The moon has a surface gravity of.332 m/s2 – and an escape speed of only 1,590 mph.

In 1997, on the 6th or 7th of September, two brothers were using a 200-inch Hale Telescope when they discovered Caliban. Brett Gladman and Phil Nicholson were among the bros who discovered Caliban, though Brett Gladman deserves most of the credit (Uranus). Caliban originally was named S/1997 U 1 and was changed to S/1997 U 2 in order for it to be consistent with Uranus’s moons. It was eventually named after Prospero, the deformed and savage servant in Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest”. Caliban’s orbit around Uranus is different from the other regular lunar orbits (Solar System Exploration). It orbits Uranus at a distance that is unusually large, reaching up to 10 times the distance between Oberon and the furthest regular lunar body (Solar System Exploration). Evidence suggests that Uranus may have captured Caliban, a celestial body which was previously independent.

Caliban’s irregular shape suggests that it is a captured asteroids (Uranus). It is thought to have left the Kuiper Belt due to its unusual color and composition of rock and water. Caliban is orbiting at an astonishing 7.2 million kilometers but with an orbital speed of only 3.238.5 km/h. (Uranus). Caliban is measured by its brightness. It is estimated to have an albedo (or brightness) of.04 percent or 7%. The diameter, based on this postulation is 72 km. The volume, 195.432 km3, has a mass of 2..9973 x 109 kg. The surface gravity of the planet is.015 m/s2 (Solar System Exploration). Its escape velocity is 75 mph.

Brett Gladman of Solar System Exploration discovered Stephano in July 1999. It was found along with Setebos (and Prospero) to become part of Uranus’s “new moons” group. Solar System Exploration reports that Stephano shares many similarities with Caliban. This includes its composition, name, location of origin, and orbital features. The name S/1999 U2 was given to it originally, but then changed after King Alonso’s rowdy drunken butler (Solar System Exploration). The moon orbits Uranus in an opposite direction to that of the other regular satellites.

The orbit of Stephano around Uranus is 8 million kilometers in radius (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration estimates its orbital average velocity at 3,054.9km/h. Stephano only has a 32-km diameter and a 100.5-km equatorial cirumference (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration states that the mass of Stephano is 2.55 x 102 kg, and its volume is only 17.157 km3. Stephano’s surface gravity is.007 m/s2 while its escape velocity is 33,5 mph.

Sycorax, the twin to Caliban is Brett Gladman, the father of both. S/1997 U 2 is its original name. Later, it was changed to “The Tempest Witch” (Uranus). Sycorax has many similarities to Caliban, as they are both made of ice and rock (Uranus), and rotate in opposite directions. Both moons have a surface with a strange color, red. This could indicate that they once lived in the Kuiper Belt.

The irregularly-shaped moon measures 150 km across, or a little over twice as large as Caliban. The orbital radius is 12.2 millions km (Uranus). The average orbital velocities is around 2,297 km/h. Sycorax’s mass is 2.698x1018kg, and its volume is 1.77x106km3(Solar System Exploration). The gravity on the surface of the Moon is.

Solar System Exploration: 032 m/s2 with a 155 mph escape velocity.

Prospero, discovered on July 18, 1999 by the Uranus group in the exact same observation as Stephano & Setebos. Originally called S/1999 U3, it was later renamed “The Tempest’s sorcerer” by Solar Exploration. Prospero, like its other irregular lunar satellites, has a similar orbital characteristic, such as the rotational direction that indicates its origin in the Kuiper Belt.

Prospero is a moon with an unusually large orbital diameter (Uranus). The orbital distance between Uranus and Prospero is about 16.3 million km. The orbital velocity on average is 2,043.2km/h. It has a volume of 65,450km3 and a mass of 9.89 x 102 kg (Solar System Exploration). Surface gravity is very low at.011m/s2 with an escape velocity of only 52 mph.

Cordelia, the outermost satellite of Uranus (Uranus), is also its closest neighbor. The name was given to it after Lear’s sister in Shakespearean play “King Lear” (Uranus). Voyager 2 spotted it when it flew by Uranus January 20, 1985 (Uranus). The gravitational pull of the epsilon-ring on Uranus also appears to limit it (Uranus). The surface of the planet is believed to be made up of dark, unprocessed carbon (Solar System Exploration).

Cordelia maintains an orbital speed of 38.918.2 km/s and has a radius of 49.800 km (Solar System Exploration). Cordelia is also predicted to have a diameter of around 40 km, based on an albedo value of.07. Solar System Exploration states that its volume and mass are 34,015km3 and 4.496×1016 kg. Surface gravity is.007 m/s2 with a 39 mph escape velocity (Solar System Exploration).

Ophelia was also discovered by Voyager 2 (Solar System Exploration). Ophelia is named after Polonius’ daughter in William Shakespeare’s famous “Hamlet”. Ophelia and Cordelia are both shepherding (or gravitationally-constrained) moons in the epsilon (Uranus) ring.

Ophelia is orbiting at a larger distance than Cordelia (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration says that the average velocity of an orbit is 37.458.7 kilometers per hour. Ophelia is 5.395 x 102 kg in mass and 41,052km3 in volume (Solar System Exploration). On the surface the moon’s gravity is just.001 more than Cordelia (.008 m/s2) and it has a velocity of escape of 41 mph.

Bianca was discovered by Voyager 2 (Uranus) in 1986. It was named after Katherine’s younger sister from “Taming of the Shrew” by Uranus. Bianca’s orbital features are the only thing we know about it (Solar System Exploration). The only thing we know about Bianca’s physical characteristics and composition is based on Puck.

Bianca’s orbital radius is approximately 59.200km and her orbital average velocity is 35.628.1 km/h. Solar System Exploration states that the volume of 71,103km3 is approximately 44 km and the mass is about 9.29 x 10016 kg. Solar System Exploration has calculated the gravity on its surface to be.009m/s2; the escape velocity, 49mph.

Cressida belongs to the inner ten of Uranus. Cressida appears in Shakespeare’s “Troilus Cressida”, as the daughter Calchas. Voyager 2 made the discovery of this moon and the other 10 innermost ones in 1986. It is also like Bianca that little is known of its composition, physical characteristics or orbital characteristics. It is possible to determine the albedo of the surface, which is a dark substance rich in carbon (Solar System Exploration).

Cressida is approximately 66 kilometers in diameter (Uranus). The moon’s orbital distance is approximately 61,800 kilometers, with an average orbital speed of 34,869km/h and a volume of 264,081km3 (Solar System Exploration). The surface gravity of the moon is approximately.014m/s2, while its mass is 3.43 x 102 kg (Solar System Exploration).

Desdemona belongs to Uranus’s inner ten (Solar System Exploration). Desdemona, the wife Othello’s (Uranus) in William Shakespeare “Othello”, is another of Uranus’ ten inner moons. Voyager 2 discovered it in 1986, along with other innermost Moons.

Its orbital distance from Uranus is 62,659 kilometers. The average orbital speed is 34,630.4km/h (Solar System Exploration). Surface gravity is.012m/s2 with an escape velocity of 61mph (Solar System Exploration).

Juliet (Uranus) is yet another innermost Uranus satellite. The moon’s name is derived from the tragic heroine in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Voyager 2 discovered it in 1986. Solar System Exploration knows very little about this moon, other than its size and orbital properties.

The orbital radius of Uranus is approximately 64,358 kilometers. Juliet weighs 5.575 x 10017 kg with a volume of 429,000 365 km3 according to Solar System Exploration. The average orbital acceleration is approximately 34.198.5km/h. The gravity on the surface of the planet is.017m/s2.

Portia is another of the innermost Uranus’s moons. It was named after a rich heiress from “Merchant of Venice”. Voyager 2 discovered the moon in 1986, together with ten of Uranus’ inner moons. The Solar System Exploration reports that it is the largest Uranus lesser moon with a size of 140 kilometers. Its composition is unknown (Uranus). Portia has a rapid movement; it takes one day to complete an orbit around Uranus (Solar System Exploration).

Portia, the moon, orbits Uranus 66100 km away at an average speed 33.732 km/hr (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration says that the satellite’s mass is about 1.6821018 kg. Its volume is around 1,293,983km3. Portia’s gravity surface is approximately.025m/s2 at a velocity of 129mph.

Rosalind, the eighth of Uranus’ ten innermost moons, is the exiled duchess in the “As You Like It”, by William Shakespeare. Solar System Exploration says that the only thing we know about the moon is its orbital and size statistics. Rosalind has an area of 195.432 km3 and is about 72 km wide (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration estimates the mass at 2.548 x 10017 kg. Surface gravity is.013m/s2, while escape velocity is around 69mph. Rosalind orbital radius is approximately 69.900 km, and its orbital velocity is 32.795.3 km/h on average (Solar System Exploration).

Belinda ranks ninth in Uranus’ list of the ten most innermost moons. Voyager 2 found it in 1986 and named it after Alexander Pope’s heroine of “The Rape of the Lock”. The diameter of the planet is 80 km. Its mass is 3.567 x 10017 kg. (Solar System Exploration). Solar System Exploration states that it orbits Uranus at 75,300km away with an average speed 31592 km/h. Its escape speed is just over 77mph. The surface gravity of its orbit is.015m/s2

MR. Vining’s DISLEXIA THREW OFF OUR RUBICON! He actually meant S/1986 U10 because that would make sense as it is the Moon Perdita. Perdita’s discovery in 1986 was along with that of other Voyager 2 planets. But it was not until May 18, 1998, when Erich Karkoschka of University of Arizona recognized the moon in Voyager 2 pictures and compared the images to Hubble space telescope pictures (Solar System Exploration) that the moon was actually a real moon. The name was given to it after Hermoine, the daughter of Leontes in Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale”. Perdita’s orbit is nearly identical to Belinda’s (orbital diameter of 75,300km) (Solar System Exploration). Perdita’s mass and gravity are currently unknown. The average orbital speed is also 31,356.2 km/h.

Setebos was discovered by Brett Gladman on July 18, 1999. Prospero, Stephano and other moons were discovered with it (Uranus). Setebos is orbiting in the opposite way to the other moons like Prospero. Setebos was named after the Patagonian god that Shakespeare based his “The Tempest’s” Sycorax, Caliban and Caliban on (Solar System Exploration).

Setebos measures 48 km in diameter and has a volume measuring 57.906 km3(Solar System Exploration). The mass of Setebos is 8.6921016 kg. This gives it a gravity surface of.010m/s2 as well as a speed of escape of only 49mph. (Solar System Exploration). Setebos is orbiting Uranus at a distance of 17.4 millions km with an average speed of 1,857 kilometers per hour (Solar System Exploration).

Neptune’s name comes from the Roman god who ruled the sea. Neptune lies eight planets away from the Sun. They predicted that Neptune was the planet responsible for Uranus’s orbital anomaly. This ice-giant was discovered through calculations and not observations (Solar System Exploration). On September 23, 1846 two astronomers, Galle and d’Arrest(Neptune), observed Neptune for the first time. Amazingly, Neptune was located near the positions predicted by Adams & Le Verrier based on Jupiter Saturn Uranus.

Neptune has not been explored with the modern instrumentation of spacecraft. This is why we only know what we do about Neptune from careful observations and clever calculations (Agnor 2) Neptune orbits the Sun once every 165 years. It is 4.5 billion km away from the Sun. The Earth’s day is 16.1 hours long. This distance is equivalent of 30.06 AU. Neptune, with an equatorial diametre of 49.532 km and mass of 1.0247x1026kg, is approximately 3.9x bigger than Earth. Neptune is about 169lbs heavier than Earth. Neptune’s magnetic field is also about 27 times more powerful than Earth’s magnetic field (Solar System Exploration). The magnetic field on Neptune is tilted by 47 degrees in comparison to the rotational axis of the planet (Solar System Exploration). The magnetosphere of Neptune changes during every rotation because of this tilt (Solar System Exploration). Neptune does have six known rings. They aren’t as noticeable but still exist. Voyager 2 images showed complete rings with bright clumps, while Earth observations show faint arcs rather than complete rings.

Neptune’s massive atmosphere is the main reason for its enormous size. The atmosphere extends deep into the planet, merging with water, melted ices and a solid core of approximately Earth size (Solar System Exploration). This planet’s composition is most likely the same as Uranus. It is made up of various ices and rocks, has a solid rock core that is about the same size as Earth and an atmospheric composition of hydrogen, helium and methane. Neptune and Uranus share many similarities. One of the similarities is in color. Neptune appears more blue than other planets. While both have methane that absorbs red-light, giving it a blueish green color, Neptune also has an unknown element which changes the color. (Solar System Exploration).

Neptune has unusually high wind speeds. The Outer Planets says that in the upper air, the wind speeds are around 750 mph on average and up to 1000 mph at their maximum. This is because, despite the high wind speed, the gas density in this area is so low that it would be impossible to use a windmill at these speeds (The Outer Planets). Scientists do not believe that Neptune could have been powered by only the sun. They think that the energy comes from within the planet. Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft which has traveled close to Neptune. The observations revealed that Neptune radiates double the amount of energy from its core as it receives directly from the Sun. This ratio is the largest of all planets within the solar systems (The Outer Planets). The Outer Planets says that the heat in the planet is due to radioactive processes and chemical processes. One theory is that as the planet forms, the falling gases are producing heat by being compacted. This theory might explain the bizarre cloud patterns seen on Neptune.

Neptune has a strange phenomenon called the great dark spot. This is a huge storm with winds of up to 1000 mph. This storm is strange because it appears and disappears suddenly and moves in unpredictable patterns. The Outer Planets shows that these storms can also change in size very quickly. According to The Outer Planets, these storms may be the result of an unstable atmosphere and winds.

Neptune is a planet with many moons.

Solar System Exploration) names the irregular satellites orbiting Neptune in honor of characters from Greek or Roman legends associated with Neptune. The irregular moons around Neptune bear the names of the Nereids. Nereids were the daughters of Nereus (Neptune) and Doris as well as Neptune’s attendants.

Larissa is one of the moons orbiting Neptune. The name of this moon comes from a Greek mythology nymph. It was discovered by the Voyager 2 team in July 1989. Larissa is a 193 km diameter asteroid with a mass of 4,9456 x 1 018 kg (Solar System Exploration). Larissa occupies a volume 3,822,996km3(Solar System Exploration). The satellite has a non-spherical shape and is heavily cratered. (Neptune). Larissa has a force of only.035m/s2 (Solar System Exploration) and a velocity of escape of 297km/h. Solar System Exploration says that the orbital speed of Larissa is only 34,693.4 km/hr, while its orbital radius is 73.548 kilometers.

Proteus moon is Neptune largest known moon (Neptune). Its name comes from the Greek sea god of changing shapes (Solar System Exploration). The Voyager 2 spacecraft discovered it in 1989. It is likely that Earth cannot see this moon because of its dark color (Solar System Exploration). Its mass is 5 x 1019 kg. Its diameter measures 418 km. Proteus occupies a volume 38,792,386km3 (Neptune). It is non-spherical with a lot of craters. Proteus has a surface gravity of 0.76 m/s2 with an escape velocity calculated at 644 km/h by Solar System Exploration. It orbits Neptune at a distance 117,600 kilometers away and has an orbital speed of 27,450.7 km/h.

Triton’s low temperature combined with its high gravity makes it a very interesting moon for astronomers (Arny). Triton’s atmosphere is unique to the solar-system. Triton was named after Poseidon’s son, Neptune. William Lassell was a British Astronomer who discovered Triton 10th October 1846. This discovery came just 17 day after Neptune was discovered (Solar System Exploration). Its mass (Neptune), is 2.14x1022kg and its diameter, 2700km. Triton occupies a volume 10,384,058,491km3, which is made up of about 75% rocky and 25% water. Triton has a surface gravity of 0.779 m/s2 (Solar System Exploration) and an escape velocity of 5,229 km/h. Triton’s orbital speed is 15,803.2km/h. Its orbital radius measures 354,759km.

Neptune named Nereid after the Greek mythological Nereids. Gerard P. Kuiper, a Dutch scientist, discovered the moon on May 1st. 1949. Nereid measures 340 km in diameter and 3.0873 1019 kg in mass (Solar System Exploration). Nereid, the outermost known moon of Neptune, has a volume calculated at 20,579,526km3. Surface gravity of Nereid is 0.07
